Gatwick Stream (River Mole)
This portion of the mole is literally a nursery and in summer the fry can be seen all along the shallow, gravelly runs that are frequent along this stretch.
Gatwick stream has a full suite of coarse fish, including ruffe and stone loach. The chub are numerous and the perch grow large too (+2lb) with barbel making an occasional appearance.
Float and feeder methods work well and the stretch is extremely spate responding fast to rain but also dropping its water quickly after a flood.
